Sunderland Care and Support is one of the largest providers of social care services within the North East delivering a range of services on behalf of Sunderland City Council. The Telecare Service operates throughout the City, from Hetton and Houghton to Washington and all of Sunderland.

The positions advertised have arisen as a result of investment and development of our Telecare service. The post involves:
Answering alarm activations across the city which have been raised by the customer or from an allocated assistive technology device
Assistance to mobilise, personal care, customer falls, ambulance crew assistance
Responding to assistive technology which may include, property exit sensors, smoke alarms and pressure mats
All applicants must have a full UK Driving Licence that allows them to drive a manual vehicle

These principal responsibilities are not an exhaustive list of duties, only a general guide to the role. In consultation with the post holder, the duties may change from time to time to reflect the changing needs of the customer/service.

Successful candidates will be required to work a 6 on, 4 off rota. The shift pattern consists of earlies (6am to 2.30pm), lates (2pm to 10.30pm) and nights (10pm to 6.30am), shift allowance will apply.

A salary of £25,584 to £27,269 (pro rata if working less than 37 hours per week)( Pay award pending)
