Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning? Do you thrive in a role where every day is different and your support truly changes lives? We’re looking for a Challenging Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive and forward-thinking team in Nottingham.
This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting students with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs and challenging behaviour, who wants to make a lasting impact in a rewarding educational setting.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
• Support pupils across all Key Stages, including those with Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored interventions
• Use the natural environment to engage and inspire pupils in their learning
• Bring patience, empathy, and resilience to help young learners thrive
• Be proactive and confident in managing challenging behaviours
You’ll need:
• Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
• Confidence in supporting students with SEMH and behavioural challenges
• A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification (CACHE or equivalent)
• Team-Teach or MAPA training (desirable but not essential)
