Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join an alternative provision in the NG6 area, supporting students of secondary age groups who experience behavioural, emotional and social challenges. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about re-engaging young people who are unable to access mainstream education, by providing tailored support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 behavioural and emotional support to students with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional well-being, and active participation.
- Support students in developing essential life and social skills.
- Track student progress, reviewing and adapting strategies as needed.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to create bespoke support packages.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with young people displaying challenging behaviour or with SEND/SEMH needs.
- A background in education and student support is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and patient mindset, with the resilience to work in a high-impact setting.
