Pre-school Deputy Manager | Term-Time Only | £12,900 per annum
Our client, a warm and inclusive nursery based in a supportive community setting, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-school Deputy Manager to join their team. This term-time only role is ideal for an early years professional who is ready to take on a leadership position while enjoying a healthy work-life balance.
With set hours — Monday to Thursday 8:15am to 3:15pm, and Fridays 8:30am to 1:15pm — and a salary of £12,900 per annum, this opportunity is perfect for someone looking to make a meaningful impact during school terms, while still having time for family, study or personal commitments.
As Pre-school Deputy Manager, you will support the Pre-school Manager in the day-to-day operations of the setting, ensuring that children receive the highest standard of care and education. You will help lead a dedicated team, contribute to curriculum planning, and promote an inclusive, nurturing learning environment for every child.
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Early Years is essential.
- Experience in a leadership role within a nursery, pre-school or early years setting.
- Sound knowledge of child development and early years frameworks (EYFS).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about inclusion, diversity, and creating a supportive learning environment.
- Organised, proactive, and committed to continuous professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Pre-school Manager in overseeing daily operations, administration, and compliance.
- Help implement and deliver high-quality, inclusive early years education programmes in line with EYFS.
- Foster a safe, stimulating, and enriching learning environment for children aged 2–5.
- Coach, mentor, and motivate a team of early years educators, leading by example.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with children, parents, and the wider community.
- Provide support and guidance to staff in recognising and meeting the needs of individual children.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the nursery’s practices and policies.
