Crynodeb
The 4 Specialty Doctors/ Post-CCT fellows work a 1 in 4 full shift rota to provide Senior Registrar cover at night, working alongside another registrar and 2 SHOs (the on-call consultant is non-resident after 2200 hrs). This is done by doing a fixed weekday night every week and a Friday-Sunday weekend set of nights every month. The post is offered on a full-time basis on a 12 PA (Programmed Activity) Specialty Doctor/ SAS contract (2021). The contract will be reviewed after 12 months or sooner to ensure that the sessional commitments reflect the needs of the service.
