We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Planner to join our client's team within the social housing sector. This role is vital in ensuring that maintenance and repairs are scheduled efficiently, with a focus on maximising workforce productivity and delivering high-quality service to residents.
As a Planner, you will be responsible for the coordination of trades operatives, scheduling appointments, and monitoring job progress across a busy and dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and a background in housing or repairs scheduling to make a tangible impact within a community-focused organisation.
Key Responsibilities-
Schedule and allocate responsive, void, and planned maintenance work to operatives and contractors

Monitor and manage diaries to ensure maximum productivity and compliance with SLAs

Liaise with tenants, operatives, and subcontractors to confirm appointments and resolve scheduling conflicts

Track job progress using the organisation's systems, ensuring updates and notes are recorded accurately

Support the repairs team with administrative tasks and provide exceptional customer service

Work closely with supervisors and managers to ensure the efficient delivery of maintenance services

Proactively flag delays or issues that may impact job completion timescales

Proven experience in a similar planning or scheduling role, ideally within social housing, facilities management, or maintenance services

Strong IT skills, particularly in using housing management or scheduling systems

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

A team player with a proactive and solution-focused approach

Understanding of compliance and service standards within the housing sector is desirable
