We are looking for dependable and flexible individuals to join our National Operations Centre in Northampton as Relief Control Room Operators. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can provide cover when needed across both day and night shifts.

As a Relief Operator, you'll support the permanent team by covering planned and unplanned absences. You must be able to step into a variety of tasks at short notice, maintain high standards, and work confidently across our systems and procedures.

About the Role:This is a critical operational support role, not an alarm monitoring position. You'll be part of a team responsible for ensuring that security personnel are booked on correctly, responding to missed check calls, arranging short-notice cover, and maintaining clear and accurate communication across our operation.

You'll play a key role in ensuring service continuity during staff shortages, holidays, and peak demand periods.

Key Responsibilities:
-Confirm staff attendance and ensure they are at the correct location on time.

-Respond to missed check-ins and arrange emergency cover when required.

-Maintain clear communication with field staff, supervisors, and clients.

-Log all incidents and activity accurately using our systems.

-Assist with shift allocations and short-notice rota changes.

-Follow escalation processes where required.

-Support handovers to ensure seamless transitions between shifts.

Skills & Experience Required:
-Previous experience in a control room, helpdesk, or operational environment is beneficial but not essential - training will be provided.

-Flexible and dependable - able to cover both day and night shifts as needed.

-Confident using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and internal systems.

-Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

-Ability to stay calm and focused during busy periods or in challenging situations.

-Professional, organised, and a strong team player.

-Hours: 06:30 - 18:30 (days) / 18:30 - 06:30 (nights)

-Contract type: Relief
