A new mission awaits.
Our client is actively looking for a UK Armed Forces Veteran to take on the role of Facilities Manager at a high-profile aerodrome site.
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.
This is a great fit for someone from a military engineering, logistics, or HSE background, looking to apply their leadership, planning, and risk management skills in a dynamic civilian setting.
You will be reporting to the newly appointed CEO who has just been promoted into this role from the Facilities Manager role.
Your key duties will include:
• Manage FM service contractors and in-house teams
• Lead health, safety & environmental (HSE) activities across the site
• Deliver project planning and minor works from scope to completion
• Conduct audits, inspections, and investigations
• Act as the key site contact for all safety-critical matters
To be eligible for this role you will need the following:
Essential:
• NEBOSH General Certificate (or military equivalent)
• Leadership/management experience in demanding environments
• Familiarity with safe systems of work and PPE protocols
• Strong written and verbal communication
Desirable:
• BIFM/IWFM qualifications
• Project Management or Engineering experience
• Airfield or similar operations background
• First Aid & Fire Warden Training
This role is well-suited for ex-Forces candidates with a strong sense of discipline, duty, and a commitment to high safety standards. You also must be willing to attend site during out-of-hours operations when required (e.g. evenings, weekends, bank holidays).
Ready to continue your career journey?
Apply today and bring your military mindset into a new and rewarding environment.
In return they are offering a good starting salary of up to £45k, 25 days + Bank Holidays, and private health cover after 3 months.
