Ward Manager – CAMHS

£55,000|37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday


Our client, a well-regarded and forward-thinking mental health service, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Ward Manager to oversee a CAMHS ward (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services). This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with relevant mental health nursing experience who is passionate about leading teams and delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

Whether you're currently working as a Ward Manager or you're a Deputy Ward Manager ready to take that next step, this role offers a welcoming environment and supportive leadership.

What You'll Need:

  • A valid NMC registration (RMN preferred; RGN considered with strong mental health experience).
  • Previous experience as a Ward Manager or readiness to step up from a Deputy Ward Manager role.
  • Ideally, experience working within CAMHS or adolescent mental health services (not essential).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills.
  • A strong commitment to delivering high standards of mental health care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the day-to-day operations of a busy CAMHS mental health ward.
  • Supervise and support a dedicated team of mental health nurses and care staff.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards and uphold best practices in clinical governance.
  • Promote a culture of safety, recovery, and compassion in mental health care.
