Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: North London
Contract Type: Temporary (September Start)
Working Days: 4 Days per Week (Monday to Thursday)
Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay: Competitive, depending on experience

Are you passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs?
A welcoming and inclusive college in North London, is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis starting in September. This is a fulfilling opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people with a range of high and low-level disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)

  • Assist with personal care tasks in a respectful and professional manner

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver a supportive and inclusive learning environment

  • Adapt learning materials and strategies to suit individual student needs

  • Monitor and report on student progress and well-being

Requirements:

  • Proven background in education or a related support role

  • Experience working with young people with a range of disabilities, including both complex and mild needs

  • Willingness to assist with personal care duties as required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to student support

  • Level 3 qualification in Maths and English
