Rate: £90-£110 per day
We are looking for a superb 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant looking to advance your experience in Education. If you are, we have a fantastic opportunity for you. As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be supporting a student with moderate ASD in a 1:1 setting. The child is on a ECHP and you will be adhering to the plan using your fantastic SEN experience.
We welcome your 1:1 support and want you to succeeds as an SEN Teaching Assistant at one of our leading primary school. You will demonstrate safeguarding skills and collaborate with the class teacher to deliver the best support to the year 4 pupil.
The ideal Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
- Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with SEMH students.
- A solid understanding of SEMH and effective behaviour management strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals.
- A commitment to supporting high-quality education for students with SEMH needs.
