What's involved with this role:

Job Title: Delivery and Development Officer

Ref: Exeter 5269603

Pay rate: Up to £14.36 per hour PAYE depending on experience



Applicants must be prepared to work on site in Exeter.



The role:

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a committed and proactive Delivery and Development Officer to provide a comprehensive, efficient, effective and quality support function to the Environmental Health and Licensing Department.



Key responsibilities:

Act as System Administrator for Environmental Health and Community Safety systems, including training delivery and system updates with new statutes and bye laws
Troubleshoot data issues, investigate causes, and implement system changes as needed
Support collation, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of statistical data for the Council and regulators
Oversee organisation and coordination of Licensing and Environmental Health training courses, including contracts, marketing, and liaising with partners
Assist with preparation of legal notices and prosecution files
Help manage financial aspects of Licensing and Environmental Health teams, including invoicing, income allocation, and audit checks
Coordinate and analyse customer satisfaction surveys.
Maintain and monitor public registers of licences and records
Ensure compliance with Data Protection, Freedom of Information, and Records Management policies, providing staff guidance as required

Educated to A level and GCSE Maths & English (Grade C or above)
Experience managing complex projects
Strong organisational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and similar IT applications
Skilled in critical thinking to solve problems effectively
Committed to excellent customer care, including income reconciliation
Able to understand and apply policies and procedures
Knowledgeable about licensing, community safety, and related policy issues
