The role:

We’re currently seeking a skilled Digital Developer with strong full-stack experience and a solid understanding of automated testing frameworks. Working within a high-impact government environment, this role is part of a technical squad focused on delivering secure, scalable digital services that support national resilience and hazard response.



You’ll contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of cloud-native applications, writing clean, efficient, and secure code while promoting automation and continuous improvement. This is a full-stack role with a strong development focus—testing experience is essential, but this is not a pure testing position.



Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain high-quality software components in a modern cloud environment.
Use test-driven development practices to deliver clean, secure, well-tested code.
Integrate automated testing into the development workflow and enhance existing test frameworks.
Operate the software you build, monitoring performance and resolving production issues.
Collaborate with other developers, engineers, and stakeholders in an agile environment.
Build scalable and maintainable applications using AWS serverless technologies.



What the Client is Looking For:

Essential Skills & Experience:

Active SC Clearance
Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, AWS Serverless, Jira, and GitHub
Demonstrable experience in full-stack development
Proven experience with test automation and frameworks
Agile working practices



Desirable Skills:

Familiarity with Angular, CDK/Terraform, Cypress, and GDS standards
Experience in BDD and feature-based testing
