Eastern High is looking for a team leader who is driven to support the academic and wellbeing progress of pupils with historically low engagement with school, who strongly believes that all pupils have the right to an excellent standard of education tailored to meet their needs to ensure progression and has the resilience needed to build positive relationships to provide consistent support and positive challenge to pupils who need emotionally available adults in their lives.
We are looking for a Grade 6 Teaching Assistant to lead our internal Reset and Reintegration provision for pupils. These pupils are either ready to start their reintegration journey into the school following a period of time in an external base, prolonged absence due to anxiety or wellbeing concerns as well as a reset room for pupils, particularly those in Y10 and Y11, who are disengaged from certain aspects of their learning.
The role will include: building relationships with pupils who find aspects of school challenging; liaising with external providers and teaching staff to ensure a suitable curriculum is being followed to enable either a full reintegration back into mainstream classrooms or to provide the knowledge and skills needed to successfully gain qualifications; making frequent contact with parents to discuss progress and build relationships as well as creating and maintaining a calm and safe environment for some of our most vulnerable pupils.
We are offering a term time permanent HLTA Grade 6 opportunity to successfully manage the continuing development and progression of the Reset and Reintegration Rooms.
