The Job

As a Claims Handler, you'll play a key role in managing and monitoring claims, ensuring no leakage occurs and delivering exceptional service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support customers from their first notification of claim until the completion of repairs.

- Ensure claims are processed in line with guidelines, current case law, and indemnity requirements.

- Investigate and determine liability, preparing necessary documentation and communicating with relevant parties.

- Manage the claims pipeline effectively, meeting service level agreements and reporting any delays promptly.

- Identify opportunities for group services (hire, repair, etc.) while mitigating total claim costs.

- Oversee hire claims to prevent any discrepancies in acceptance, duration, or vehicle type.

- Coordinate with engineers, body shops, and internal teams to ensure timely repairs.

- Maintain regular customer contact, providing updates and addressing any concerns.

- Handle complaints professionally, following the established escalation process.

What You Need:

- Strong customer service skills and excellent communication abilities.

- Basic understanding of accident insurance policies (further training will be provided).

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

- Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

- Proactive attitude and adaptability to changing situations.
