An outgoing, open and friendly woman requires a male or female Personal Assistant, to assist in all aspects of personal care, and to enjoy community activities. This lady has Physical disabilities and lives in the Kilsyth area.
Her favourite activities are going to rugby matches, music events, out for a drive, meeting up with friends and socialising and having quality family time.
Your role would be to assist this lady to have the best quality of life at home and out in the community, enjoying life to the full. Every day is different with lots of variety and laughs!
This role involves:
· Attending to all personal care needs
· Assisting with medication (4 times a day) via PEG
· Preparing meals and healthy snacks and PEG feeding is required
· Moving and assisting - pushing manual wheelchair.
· Household shopping and collecting prescriptions
· Helping to be involved in community activities
· Going out for walks with the dog
· Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living
The most important qualities she is looking for are a warm, friendly and approachable nature and a desire to work within a caring role. A Personal Assistant who can provide enthusiasm and motivation in the daily support of her needs, and her social interests would be ideal.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Pets in the household – you must be comfortable working with a dog in the home.
Driver with a full UK driving licence is essential and you may be required to use your own vehicle – mileage allowance will be paid. You may prefer the option to drive my mobility vehicle.
Relevant experience is preferred, but not essential as training will be provided.
Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)
Recruiting for 1 position.
Guaranteed permanent position of 12 hours per week, with additional daytime hours available.
This job works on a 2 week rolling rota, so your working hours can be planned.
Night shift: 12 hours available 8:00pm – 8:00am (training is during daytime)
Days and times:
At the interview we can discuss your availability and the shifts we have.
Hourly rate:
£14.00 per hour
