Shift Technical Operator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Operations team at Lancashire Renewables Ltd. working on a
5-shift system at our Leyland facility.

What you’ll be doing



The Shift Technical Operator (Bio Drying / Air Treatment) will be responsible for leading the safe and efficient operation of the
biological drying process, site odour abatement systems and associated process services across the waste facility, providing both
hands on and technical support to the operations and maintenance teams.

The post holder will be required to be a business partner to the Operations & Maintenance Supervisor(s) to lead in the delivery of
effective operations and maintenance programmes relating to the bio drying process and refinery processes, all odour treatment
systems and related process services.

What you will bring



To be successful in this position, it is essential that you have the following experience:

* Fundamental mechanical trade skills and understanding
* Proven ability to supervise and coordinate external contractors
* Competence in managing and prioritising work schedules effectively
* Able to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Strong problem-solving abilities and a practical approach to challenges
* Excellent teamworking and communication skills
* Well-organised with strong attention to detail
* Safety-conscious with a thorough understanding of compliance requirements
* Collaborative team member who encourages open communication and mutual support
* Self-motivated and proactive, with a flexible and positive attitude
* Willingness to learn and grow in line with the company’s values of integrity and excellence

Whilst training and development opportunities are provided and encouraged for our roles, the following skills and knowledge are
desired and training may be provided to the right candidate

* NPORS certification for mobile plant (e.g. Front-End Loader, Forklift Truck, Tele-truck)
* Knowledge or experience with bio-drying and waste processing systems
* Familiarity with odour abatement systems
* Understanding of processes and infrastructure in waste treatment facilities

Who are we?

Lancashire Renewables Ltd was established for the operation and management of the two waste treatment facilities built for the
Lancashire Waste Contract.



Our two facilities in Thornton and Leyland are manned 365 days a year. Both sites can process over 5,000 tonnes of residual (black
bin bag) waste per week and divert 95% of this material away from landfill.



Our aim is to achieve a sustainable future for Lancashire by providing services to process biodegradable and non-biodegradable
community waste and our people are vital in helping us achieve this.
