Following internal promotion, an opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic OT to join our Band 5 Occupational Therapy rotation which operates across our 3 main sites: St Mary’s hospital - the major trauma centre for the North West London network, Charing Cross hospital which is a specialist stroke and neuroscience centre and Hammersmith hospital where the specialist heart attack centre is situated.
Rotations take place every six months with rotations in; elective orthopaedics, orthopaedic trauma, surgical rehab and cardiology, renal medicine, stroke, neurology & neurosurgery, respiratory medicine, acute medicine, major trauma, Charing Cross Neurological Rehabilitation Unit (CNRU), medicine for the elderly, elderly rehabilitation, community (falls team or bedded rehab) and oncology. All Band 5s are expected to undertake a mixture of rotations across the 3 sites. Please note now to avoid any disappointment later, it will not be possible to undertake all your rotations within one clinical specialism eg neurosciences, or at one particular site.
The Trust offers a supportive environment to develop your career through professional development and further education. Staff have access to regular supervision, in-service training, preceptorship programme (for new graduates) and a monthly peer support group.
