Park Signalling combines technology design and consultancy with specialist knowledge and product development to enhance the
service life of train control systems and equipment. With a range of products and solutions for monitoring signalling assets,
Park Signalling uses digital technologies to deliver performance improvements for heavy and light rail networks and signalling
systems globally.
We are now recruiting for 2 Software Engineers to join to us on a fixed term basis to support the development of high-quality C#,
C++ and C code, and associated unit test software. The role will also involve the development of designs and technical
documentation for railway signalling products. This will be an exciting opportunity to work in many areas of the product life
cycle and build upon your existing skill set.
You will work alongside experience engineers and will have interactions with other engineering teams, project managers/engineers
and technical leads whilst working on the project(s).
Key responsibilities of these roles will include:
* Write high-quality software using C-family programming languages e.g. C#, C++ and C.
* Write unit-test software and other software to support development and testing.
* Initiate and clarify ideas for the design of systems and software.
* Actively contribute to code reviews.
* Contribute to estimates of workload and the solutions to technical problems.
* Build effective working relationships with the team and with other key stakeholders based on mutual trust and respect that
ensure the resolution of problems locally.
* Help create a positive, enthusiastic, supportive working environment.
* Create clear documents and UML-based diagrams.
* Contribute ideas to the design of systems and software.
* Participate in code reviews.
* Perform hands-on testing and fault-finding.
Candidates will be qualified to degree level in Software/Data Science or similar engineering discipline and will be expected to be
able to talk through their previous projects and demonstrate their experiences. Candidates will be able to communicate
effectively in speech and in writing and have a high level of attention to detail.
