Job Title: Fleet Administrator

Ref: Cambridge 5268928

Pay rate: Up to £18.26 per hour PAYE depending on experience

A Basic DBS is required for this role.

The role:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Fleet Administrator on behalf of a local authority. The successful candidate will provide exceptional reception and administrative support, ensuring a responsive service that meets the needs of the customers while contributing to the efficient and effective management of Fleet Services as a commercially viable operation.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage essential fleet operations, including fuel management, digital vehicle tracking, and telematics systems
Oversee EU Driver's Hours compliance and tachograph analysis
Monitor and maintain on-board vehicle CCTV systems (where applicable)
Handle vehicle accident management processes
Support driver licensing activities to ensure compliance and safety standards.
Ensure all necessary permissions are in place before starting work on vehicles
Monitor compliance with EU Driver’s hours and tachograph laws, reporting non-compliance to the Fleet Services Manager and the relevant driver
Ensure timely processing of internal job cards and external invoices
Assist customers in identifying service needs, preparing estimates and quotations, and addressing any service-related queries or complaints
Maintain an electronic fleet management system, tracking important vehicle events (e.g., MOT, LOLER, tachograph expiry dates, and service schedules)
Ensure monthly Road Fund Licence (RFL) applications are submitted on time.



What the client is looking for:

Experience of office ICT systems including Word, Excel, E-mail
Experience of research, data collection, analysis, interpretation and report writing
Experience of ordering vehicle parts
Ability to actively listen to and respond to customers sensitively and appropriately
Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
