We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Bricklayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and have a passion for building and construction. As a Bricklayer, you will play a crucial role in constructing, repairing, and maintaining various structures made from bricks, stones, and concrete blocks. Your expertise will contribute to high-quality craftsmanship and the overall aesthetics of the buildings we work on. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other tradespeople, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. The position requires both physical strength and a keen eye for detail, as you will be required to follow detailed blueprints and specifications. Responsibilities
Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to construct and repair walls, foundations, and other structures.
Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project specifications and layout.
Mix and apply mortar and other materials to ensure strong adhesion between bricks or blocks.
Install brickwork features, including arches, corners, and decorative elements, ensuring alignment and precision.
Ensure all work is compliant with building codes and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Perform maintenance and repairs on existing brick structures to extend their lifespan and integrity.
Collaborate with other construction professionals, including contractors, laborers, and supervisors, to ensure cohesive project execution.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Bricklayer or similar role in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of masonry techniques and principles.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks and lift heavy materials.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in construction.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 08:00
End Time: 16:00
Pay Per Hour: £19.29
