Pay rate: £28.11 to £40.16 per hour PAYE, dependent on experience
The role:
On behalf of a local council, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Lawyer to work particularly closely with one of our partners as they continue to develop their regeneration plans. The successful candidate will relish the opportunity to be play a role on the key project boards and will support the Council’s General Counsel in ensuring strategic support and compliance with the principles of good governance.
As well as carrying out some complex transactional work yourself, you will act as intelligent client for the retained external legal advisers and be the conduit for the work carried out by SLLP colleagues.
Ideally you will have a background in dealing with complex commercial property and property development.
What the client is looking for:
Qualified legal executive, solicitor or barrister
Significant experience in commercial property law and development projects.
A strategic thinker who can operate confidently at both operational and board levels.
Proven ability to manage external legal counsel and internal stakeholders.
Experience working in or with local authorities or the public sector is desirable
