Pay rate: £28.11- £40.16 per hour PAYE



The role:

We are looking for an experienced civil litigation lawyer to cover maternity leave (11 months) with a proven track record in dealing with a wide range of litigation matters, including (non-residential) property litigation, commercial and contract disputes, debt recovery, public law orientated disputes, discrimination and equality claims, injunction applications and non-housing judicial review claims.



Key Accountabilities:

Manage a diverse civil litigation caseload, including: Non-residential property litigation; Commercial and contract disputes; Debt recovery; Public law and equality-related matters and Injunctions and judicial review (non-housing)
Deliver clear legal advice to senior officers and Members
Support legal delivery of strategic initiatives



Key Criteria:

Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive
Strong knowledge of civil procedure and litigation practice
Proven experience handling complex and varied litigation matters
Excellent communication and drafting skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
