Salary: £28k-£30k
Location: Southampton

Are you a passionate and experienced Care Home Deputy Manager looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a dedicated Care Home Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day running of our warm and welcoming residential care home located in the heart of Southampton.

As Care Home Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care are delivered to our residents while supporting the Home Manager in all aspects of operational, financial, and compliance responsibilities.

About the Role:
The Care Home Deputy Manager will:

Work closely with the Home Manager to ensure smooth daily operations

Oversee and support the care team to deliver outstanding, personalised care

Ensure the home remains fully compliant with CQC regulations and care standards

Step in for the Home Manager in their absence and carry out leadership duties confidently

Work regular hands-on shifts, including alternate weekends and on-call cover

What We’re Looking For in a Care Home Deputy Manager:
Proven experience as a Care Home Deputy Manager or in a similar leadership role within a residential care home

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (minimum)

Strong knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards and regulations

Experience in supporting residents with dementia

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Confidence in administering and managing medication

Ability to motivate, support, and lead a care team effectively

Flexibility to work alternate weekends and participate in on-call duties

Desirable for the Care Home Deputy Manager Role:
NVQ Level 5 or equivalent in Leadership & Management (or willingness to work towards it)

Experience delivering staff training

A good understanding of business and operational processes within a care setting
