Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Care Home Manager to lead a beautifully renovated residential and dementia care facility in Southampton. This role is ideal for a current Care Home Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up into a Care Home Manager position.
As Care Home Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of home operations, ensuring the highest standards of person-centered care, and maintaining full compliance with CQC regulations. You’ll join a supportive leadership team committed to excellence in care.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the care home as the registered Care Home Manager, ensuring safe, effective, and high-quality care.
As Care Home Manager, ensure the home maintains or exceeds its current GOOD CQC rating.
Promote a positive environment where staff and residents thrive under the guidance of the Care Home Manager.
Manage rotas, staffing levels, and daily operations in line with the role of a proactive Care Home Manager.
Carry out supervisions, appraisals, and team development with the dedication of a successful Care Home Manager.
Support recruitment and implement effective onboarding as a forward-thinking Care Home Manager.
Drive continual improvement through audits, feedback, and innovation as part of your Care Home Manager duties.
Act as the primary point of contact for families, professionals, and CQC in your role as Care Home Manager.
Skills and Experience Required:
Previous experience as a Care Home Manager or Deputy looking to move into a Care Home Manager role.
In-depth understanding of elderly care, dementia care, and CQC frameworks.
Proven leadership skills essential for a successful Care Home Manager.
Level 5 Health and Social Care qualification or working towards it, as expected for a professional Care Home Manager.
