This post would be ideally suited or a candidate who wishes to gain more experience in urology prior to taking up Higher Specialty training or for one who is pursuing the alternate portfolio pathway for entry to specialist register.
This is a clinical fellow post until Aug 2026. A typical work week would involve 2 clinics, 2 diagnostic sessions (flexible cystoscopy / prostate biopsy), 2 theatre sessions, 1 SPA & Admin, 2 flexible sessions as per departmental requirements / individual needs.

PayScale will be according to NHS Terms and Conditions and adjusted to the to the level of experience.

· Patient Care:
o Primary charge of all patients admitted to the service.
o Day-to-day care of patients, including outpatient clinics and provide inpatient care of urology patients including assessment of acutely ill patients.
o Supervise Core and Foundation trainees including guiding in writing admission notes, continuation notes, discharge summaries, and other associated letters as well as prescribe medications and diets for patients.
· Clinical Activities:
o Observe and assist in theatre as directed by the consultant.
o Liaise closely with multi-disciplinary teams involved in patient care.
o Attend and support weekly multi-disciplinary team meetings.
o Participate in audit and research projects.
· Teaching and Education:
o Teach other staff, undergraduate, and postgraduate students. Participate in the fortnightly registrar teaching programme aimed at management of common urological conditions as well as towards the final FRCS exams.
· On-call Commitment:
o Participate in a 1:12 on-call cover at middle-grade level with prospective cover and leave cover
