LOCUM CONSULTANT UROLOGIST (DIAGNOSTIC/ CORE)
Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust wishes to appoint a Locum Consultant Surgeon, with a special interest in the diagnosis, investigation and management of benign and malignant urological disorders.
To work with the current Consultant Team supporting Urology through clinics and Theatre sessions.
Picking up long waiters waiting on procedures for benign and cancer patients currently in the system awaiting an appointment
Attend urology meetings when necessary
Pick up and action all reports on hospital systems and attend any future training as required
Dictate all letters from clinical sessions, liaise with secretary and consultant team
Follow up on all reports bringing to attention or referral to another consultant within the urology team or another consultant within Trust or other hospitals trust
Have regular 1-2-1 meetings with clinical lead

Locum Consultant Post within Urology covering clinics and theatre sessions as directed by Clinical Lead
The post is equivalent to 10PAs per week inclusive of 1.5 SPA time allocated to undertake all necessary continuing professional development (CPD). The Trust supports the requirements for CPD as laid down by the GMC and surgical colleges and is committed to providing time and financial support for these activities.
Prospective applicants must be on, or within 6 months of entry to, the specialist register, have the FRCS (Urol) and be fully registered with the GMC. A higher degree will also be an advantage.
