Crynodeb

We are looking for a Quality Inspector/Quality Controller to join our team and ensure the highest quality standards in the production of temporary modular buildings. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a solid understanding of construction processes. No prior experience is required, but it is preferred. The ideal candidate will have the authority to stop production if quality standards are not met and will work closely with the Production Manager and Supervisors to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
Inspection & Quality Control
Conduct inspections at all stages of production, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards and company quality requirements.
Review materials, components, and finished modular units for defects and inconsistencies.
Complete Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where necessary and collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions.
Stop production if serious quality issues are identified and escalate concerns appropriately.
Documentation & Reporting
Accurately document inspection findings, quality checks, and NCRs.
Maintain records within the company's digital quality management system (computer literacy required).
Assist in preparing reports and recommendations for process improvements.
Process Improvement & Compliance
Ensure ISO 9001 quality standards are upheld throughout the factory and during site visits.
Participate in audits and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
Work alongside the Production Manager to enhance quality procedures and minimize defects.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with production teams to ensure quality is maintained at every stage.
Communicate effectively with teams regarding quality issues and resolutions.
Train and guide staff on quality standards when required.
Qualifications & Skills:
No prior experience is required, but experience in construction trades or modular building production is preferred.
Knowledge of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) is a plus.
Computer literacy is essential for digital documentation and reporting.
Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work both in a factory environment and visit sites for reviews.
Working Conditions:
Based in a factory setting, with occasional site visits as needed.
May require standing for extended periods and using measuring tools.
Working closely with production teams in a fast-paced environment.

In addition to a salary in the range of £35,000 – £45,000, we provide a strong benefits package and a supportive, inclusive work environment that encourages professional development.
