Bralin Recruitment are currently seeking an Assembly Technician to join our client’s production team in Winsford. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in assembly or manufacturing, looking to contribute to the build and quality control of temporary traffic light systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble temporary traffic light units and control systems from components, following detailed technical drawings and instructions.
Carry out wiring, soldering, and basic electrical testing on circuit boards, signal heads, and power units.
Use hand and power tools to complete mechanical assembly of frames, signal poles, and housings.
Perform functional testing and fault-finding on completed products prior to dispatch.
Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and health & safety in the workshop.
Record all build and test data accurately using company systems.
Work closely with design, stores, and logistics teams to support smooth production flow.
Assist with stock checks, goods-in inspections, and general workshop upkeep.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a mechanical or electrical assembly environment
Able to read and follow technical drawings and wiring diagrams
Confident using hand tools and testing equipment
Strong attention to detail and high quality of workmanship
Team player with a positive and proactive attitude
Awareness of health and safety in a workshop setting
Desirable (but not essential):
Experience with electronic or signalling equipment
Knowledge of traffic signal systems or portable traffic light technology
Engineering qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds, or BTEC
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or ISO 9001 processes
Competencies:
Compliant with quality procedures and health & safety legislation
Customer-focused and reliable under pressure
Capable of working to targets and production deadlines
Organised and efficient in planning and execution of tasks
