A well-established commercial vehicle operation is looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their Shepshed team. This workshop-based role offers excellent earning potential, structured training, and one of the best benefits packages in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs on trailers to high safety and quality standards
• Diagnose and resolve faults using systems including HALDEX, WABCO, and KNORR BREMSE
• Complete compliance documentation accurately and efficiently
• Provide excellent customer service and meet deadlines in a busy workshop environment
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work area
• Attend product training including IRTEC, tail lift, axle and brake training
• Support and uphold company values in all aspects of your work
What We're Looking For:
• Previous experience working on semi-trailers or HGVs
• Relevant industry qualifications (City & Guilds or NVQ)
• Ability to follow health and safety procedures and compliance guidelines
Desirable Skills (Not Essential):
• HGV Class 1 licence
• IRTEC accreditation
• Experience with EBS diagnostics (Knorr Bremse, Haldex, WABCO)
• Welding certification
• Axle, tail lift, or lifting deck system experience
