This is a Maternity cover post for 12 months working full-time.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading mental health research team that has secured over £40M in joint funding over the last five years. Led by Professor Ann John, the team focuses on child and adolescent mental health and suicide and self-harm prevention. Professor Ann John is the Co-Director of DATAMIND, Director of the National Centre for Suicide and Self-Harm Prevention (NCSSHP), Chair of the National Advisory Group on Suicide and Self-Harm Prevention to the Welsh Government, a member of SAGE and a Trustee of The Samaritans.
You will work closely with the Project Manager and wider team to ensure the overall programme’s communication strategies are effectively executed. Your responsibilities will include creating and managing content for various platforms, coordinating outreach efforts, and maintaining communication with both internal and external stakeholders. You will also assist with preparing reports, handling inquiries, and supporting the team to keep the project aligned with its objectives and timelines.
We are seeking someone with experience in communication strategies, content creation, and stakeholder engagement, along with strong organisational and interpersonal skills. A passion for making a positive impact on mental health and well-being is essential. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the groundbreaking DATAMIND project focused on innovative research, collaboration, and developing evidence-based strategies for suicide and self-harm prevention with the ultimate aim of improving people’s lives.
The primary purpose of the Communications and Engagement Coordinator role is to strengthen communication and research collaborations with the public, patients, academia, public sector organisations, and industry building strategic partnerships to drive research development. The post holder will assist in the successful delivery REF impact submissions and assist with producing case studies that deliver significant social and economic impact.
