For informal enquiries, please contact Katharina Dittrich (Associate Professor) Katharina.dittrich@wbs.ac.uk
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
We are seeking to recruit a Research Fellow to work on a research project funded by the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Future Leaders Fellowship scheme on the theme of “Financially redesigning the Anthropocene: Investigating tools, data, and practices for climate risks and targets”. This seven-year project is led by Dr. Katharina Dittrich and located within the Organisation and Work (OW) group at Warwick Business School. It involves the principal investigator, one research fellow, one research assistant and several former project team members as collaborators.
This is an exciting opportunity to
• Conduct research on a pressing societal concern (climate change)
• Work with existing qualitative data and drive the write-up and publishing of project findings
• Work with a team of highly committed and motivated researchers
• Be part of a thriving community of organisational researchers working with practice, process and institutional approaches
• Develop your academic career and network
The ideal candidate has excellent skills and substantive experience with analysing qualitative data (e.g., interviews, observations, documents) and writing them up for publication in top journals. Candidates should also have a research background in Practice-theoretical approaches and/or Science and Technology Studies (STS) and/ or related research traditions. Experience with Social studies of finance (SSF) and/ or Sustainability/ Climate Change would be advantageous.
For further information regarding the skills required for this role please see the personal specification section of the attached job description.
If you are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD but have not yet had it conferred, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant at the top of level 5 of the University grade structure. Upon receipt of evidence of the successful award of your PhD, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University grade structure.
