We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Liverpool to assist with the appointment of a Car Park Attendant, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £12.96 - £16.83 per hour
Summary:
Liverpool City Council is seeking reliable and experienced Car Park Attendants to support the day-to-day operations of its on-street and off-street parking facilities, including four multi-storey car parks. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, and secure operation of car park services across the city, including dealing with the public both face-to-face and via intercom, responding to emergencies, and supporting health and safety compliance.
This role is vital to the efficient delivery of parking services, with staff required on-site at all times, including weekends, nights, and public holidays. The position also includes duties related to patrolling sites, addressing anti-social behaviour, and supporting events held at the Arena and convention/exhibition centre.
Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor parking facilities across multiple sites from a central control point.
Provide excellent customer service to the public in person and through intercom systems.
Conduct regular patrols of car parks to ensure safety, security, and proper usage.
Respond swiftly and professionally to emergencies and incidents on site.
Deal with health and safety concerns, reporting hazards and ensuring compliance

Experience :
Previous experience as a Car Park Attendant is essential.
Experience dealing with the public in a customer service role.
Experience working in a security, facilities, or control room environment is desirable.
Familiarity with multi-storey car park operations and emergency procedures preferred.
Requirements:
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Competence in operating communication systems and basic technology.
Able to work flexibly across shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.
