Key Responsibilities:
Tower Hamlets was part of the DfE’s pilot of Social Workers in Schools (SWISS) Programme, which aimed to embed social workers in secondary schools to reduce referral rates to Children’s Social Care. The aim is to reduce the number of children in care and improve educational attainment. The SWISS team consists of 8 social workers that cover 2 secondary schools each, and we currently have 1 vacancies following a SWs resignation.
Essential Requirements:
Degree/Masters in Social Work and SWE registration.
2+ years of post-qualification experience.
Strong knowledge of UK social care legislation and practice.
