Join Our Team – Support Worker (Male Applicants Only) (Drivers only)
Location: Glasgow South and East Renfrewshire
Hours: Full-time 37.5 per week
Salary: £12.10 per hour, rising to £12.70 (backdated to 01/04/2025 once Government funding comes through)
Driving Licence: Manual UK licence & own car essential.
Due to the nature of this role and the support needs of the individuals, this post is open to male applicants only, in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

We’re looking for Male Support Workers to join our Outreach Support Service, supporting individuals in the community with:
Mental health challenges
Trauma and addiction recovery
Social isolation and tenancy sustainment
Whether it’s helping someone feel confident in their own home or supporting them at a community event, you’ll play a vital role in helping people feel safe, empowered, and connected.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting people 1:1 in their own homes and local communities
Providing practical and emotional support
Encouraging participation in social and community activities
Assisting with housing, tenancy, or health-related challenges
Developing individual support plans focused on strengths and goals
This role involves lone working, with on-call support available at all times.
What We’re Looking For
Experience is not essential — we provide a full induction and ongoing training. What matters most is your ability to connect with people, your empathy, and your commitment to helping others.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Emotionally intelligent and calm under pressure
A great listener and communicator
Reliable and self-motivated
Able to build trusting relationships
Comfortable working independently
You’ll Need:
Manual UK Driving Licence
Access to your own car for work
Flexibility to work shift patterns (day, evening, or weekend)
