Summary
Social Care Officer
Scale 6 (£30,599 - £32,654) This role is eligible for an Essential Car User allowance of up to £963 per annum.

Hybrid - Baker Street and homeworking (a minimum of 2 days per week in the office plus a mobile working day when you would be expected to do visits)

Your Role
We are looking for a Social Care Officer to join our team. In this role, you will assess adults over 18 under The Care Act, providing support planning, monitoring, and reviewing both face-to-face and via telephone. You will work with individuals and carers to safeguard vulnerable people and manage risk, support people in identifying their outcomes, and work in a strengths-based way. Responsibilities include carrying out annual reviews, participating in a duty rota, and collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team. You will also undertake training and self-development, with the potential to apply for the Social Work degree Apprenticeship, requiring Maths and English at GCSE Grade C or equivalent.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Social Care Officer who wants to make a difference to the residents of Stockport lives. We are looking for someone who can work collaboratively, think creatively and has a good level of communication and written skills.
You should also have a current driving licence and a car that can be used for work purposes.
