Summary

Scale 6 (£20,235 - £21,622 per annum) plus essential car user allowance of up to £963 per annum and reimbursement of Social Work England fees
24.5 Hours, Part Time

Hybrid - Stopford house, office based for team meetings and duty days.

Your Role
We are looking for a Social Care Officer to join our Learning Disability Team. In this role you will take a strength-based approach to support service users to identify their outcomes working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
You will assess adults with a learning disability over the age of 18 under The Care Act. You will support planning, monitoring and reviewing (face to face and via telephone) and work with people and / or carers to ensure that vulnerable people are safeguarded and supported in managing risk.
You will take part in a duty rota, carry out annual reviews and take responsibility for self-development by identifying learning and development needs.
There is potential for Social Care Officers to apply and undertake the Social Work degree Apprenticeship. You would need to have Maths and English at GSCE Grade C or be willing to work towards this before you qualify as a Social Worker.
