Job title: Teacher of Engineering (Sixth Form)
Salary: £11,367 - £16,749 per annum (actual salary)
Location: Middlesbrough College Main Campus, TS2 1AD
Department: A-Levels
Reporting to: Curriculum Team Leader - MC6
Annual Leave: 45 days per annum plus bank holidays (pro-rata)
Contractual hours: 14.8 hours per week
Teaching hours: 345.6 annualised hours per annum
Basis: Part time, Permanent
Pension: Teachers Pension Scheme

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Teacher in Engineering to join our MC6 A-Levels team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the next generation of Engineering professionals while playing a key role in a thriving academic community.



What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Teacher of Engineering, you will:

Deliver and manage high-quality, inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment in Engineering sector.
Provide hands-on and theoretical instruction in specific areas, e.g. Engineering
Support students' academic and personal growth, helping them achieve their full potential.
Develop and implement lesson plans that connect classroom learning to real-world applications.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and address the needs of all students.
Support student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression, providing guidance and tailored support.


What We’re Looking For:

We seek candidates who:

Holds a minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification (Essential) or a relevant Degree, and GCSEs in English and Maths.
Is a qualified Teacher or willing to work towards*
Has current knowledge and experience in teaching Engineering
Demonstrate effective classroom management, excellent time management, and strong communication skills.
Is proficient in preparing teaching materials using Information Learning Technology.
