Summary

We are looking for an Arboricultural Officer to join our East Lindsey District Council Planning Service.



With knowledge of tree safety, tree inspections and tree management practices, a "can-do" attitude and the passion to succeed, you will play a key role in delivering specialist tree and arboricultural advice to stakeholders, members of the public and other Council departments.



East Lindsey District Council is part of the South East Lincolnshire Council Partnership, the largest Council partnership of it’s kind in the country. We are committed to creating sustainable, vibrant communities and spaces, with a key focus on people and place.



Key responsibilities include:

- Delivery of the Councils key tree and hedgerow protection related functions, including Tree Protection Orders.

- Protection of the most important trees in the District from harmful work, including enforcement or legal action where necessary

- Management of Council owned tree stock

- Providing specialist advice to other Council departments, members and the public on tree and hedgerow related issues.



We are looking for someone who has formal training to graduate or a professional qualification level or someone who is currently working to this level. A full driving licence is also essential.



This position is a shared role within the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership (SELCP) and forms part of the S113 agreement between the participating partnership Councils in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement 1st October 2021.
