Summary

Job Brief

We are currently searching for a Church Administrator to join our team and lead the daily operations of our faith-based organization. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about working in a religious environment.

As the Church Administrator, you will manage budgets, supervise staff, coordinate events, and maintain the church facility. You will work closely with various departments to ensure that all church activities and services are properly coordinated and executed.

The successful candidate will have experience managing budgets and personnel and excellent organizational and communication skills. Additionally, a deep understanding of the needs and challenges of a faith-based organization is highly desirable. Key responsibilities and duties:
• Daily church administration: including using and maintaining Church database, church calendar management and planning, responding to emails and enquiries, managing hired venues, administration of DBS checks, oversee staff and volunteer training and church polices.

• Event Administration & Communication: liaising with comms team to represent pastor decisions, providing support to ministry and event leaders, ensuring risk assessments and health and safety policies are up to date and followed, writing copy for events, website and promotional documents, signing off weekly newsletter and writing Small Group notices, organisation of GGIC Church participation in external events

• Financial administration: including budget setting, paying invoices and expenses, ordering supplies, managing event receipts

• Sunday Meetings: including providing support to leadership and Ministry Leaders, responsibility for Health & Safety and risk assessments, preparing team members, writing host notes and ensuring supplies are well managed, stored and stocked.

• Leadership Administration: writing and sending out an agenda, writing up and following up on actions, dealing with queries for the elders and directing appropriately.

• Hold an overview of all that is going on in the life of Grace to Grace Ministry to ensure that the organisation runs efficiently and effectively.

• Attendance at weekly staff meetings (online or in person) and writing up of actions in those meetings.

• Newcomers Oversight and administration: inviting to sign up for e-news, setting up church profiles, inviting to services, planning events and liaising with small groups and other ministries that they may want to know more about.

Key skills and knowledge:

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written: to suit the audience and purpose.

• High level of organisational skills and ability to inspire excellent working practices in other people.

• Confident user of IT required as there is no full time IT support including Microsoft 365 products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive).

• Friendly, flexible, self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.

• Copes well under pressure and demonstrates intuitive problem-solving skills.

• Reliable, trustworthy and can maintain discretion and confidentiality.

• Knowledge and experience of Adult, Child and vulnerable individual safeguarding
