ArtGo - Fine Art Shipping - A personal approach to the movement and storage of art. Artgo grew out of the highly demanding Commercial Art sector to provide reactive services and realistic pricing that a lot of commercial galleries and dealers require to be able to make their own businesses work. We are growing and are looking for a Fine Art Coordinator to join our dynamic team working as part of core services team delivering estimating, Customs and Logistics services to our clients.
This is an excellent and rewarding role which offers autonomy, skills and development to contribute to the development and growth of the business – joining and supporting the team of fine art specialists responsible for all elements of the handling and delivery of Fine Art, world-wide. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
• Taking ownership of and manage the entire client experience of the shipping process, ensuring client satisfaction and expectations are exceeded; ensure all shipping aspects of client requirements are adhered to particularly the service specifications, and to ensure all customs processes are completed on time, accurately, and in scope.
• To perform the range of general and specific administrative duties that support the co-ordination of shipping and logistics to fulfil all operational requirements on behalf of the company.
• To manage an existing portfolio of client accounts, developing these relationships and extending the range of products and services taken up by the client; to liaise with clients/customers regarding their consignment or status of their project.
• To target potential new clients and market sectors to generate increased margins and profitability; to develop sales and generate new prospects and maintain an overview of existing and potential client accounts.
• Organise the daily work schedules of all drivers and subcontracted drivers to maximise utilisation and minimise costs.
• Work closely with the managers to support assignments, requiring the delivery or pickup of client artwork from storage facilities, and to find solutions to the day-to-day issues as and when they arise.
• Work together with the logistics, warehouse, and transport managers to assist the administration of the fleet of vehicles and the conduct of all drivers and art technicians.
• Deliver great customer service while adhering to policies and the time, quality, and safety standards of each task as agreed upon with the client.
• Carry out proactive duties and those that are required to help run smoothly and offer suggestions for improvement.
• Preparation of costs, budgets and client estimates
What are we looking for?
Essential
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and competent IT skills in MS Office.
• A keen and willing approach to learn new skills, be an active / engaged member of a small team
Helpful (But full training will be provided)
• Experience in fine art shipping is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided
• The ability to work on your own initiative and to be able to communicate effectively with clients and staff at all levels.
• Knowledge of fine art handling and the systems and practices used in the shipping, storage, casing, and installation of artwork.
• To negotiate effectively in dealings with subcontractors and buying in services
