Bilingual Travel Agent (French and English)

Based in Canary Wharf, London

Offering £12.30 per hour plus bonuses!

Start Date: 22nd April 2025

We are looking for a Travel Agent to join our clients existing team! Our client offers holiday packages to European customers both online and over the phone. Suitable candidates will speak French and English to a fluent level. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a natural ability to influence sales. The travel agent will be expected to handle incoming calls on behalf of our client, including exploring and understanding the needs and expectations of customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming calls for both sales and service calls
  • Handle service requests in the applications system
  • Generate sales through understanding customer needs and creating desire
  • Cancel, modify, or confirm visits already sold
  • Provide outbound cover during holiday periods
  • Upsell additional products, services, and extended stays
  • Assist customers on live chat with enquiries about the product and website bookings

The Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week

  • Monday to Friday, between 8am-7pm
  • Occasional Saturday, between 8am-6pm
  • Working on a rota basis

  • Fluent in French and English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Experience in previous customer service or sales roles (Essential)
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills, ability to multitask and work independently (Essential)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy (Essential)
  • Excellent understanding of call centre practices, KPIs, etc. (Preferred)
