Key responsibilities
of the role and the day-to-day tasks and duties of the role:
•
Responsible for purchasing and managing PPE /
uniforms on a bi-weekly basis in line with defined quota, issuing of winter /
summer uniforms, six monthly checks of PPE adequacy and controlling of
electronic records.
•
Responsible for purchasing of stationery on a
bi-weekly basis and office supplies on a monthly basis.
•
Assist with the management of the facilities log,
including vehicles, equipment, asset register.
Ensuring all equipment is accurately logged for status and location, and
all calibration carried out in a timely manner.
Distributing and checking on/of hire reports.
•
Assist with management of approved supplier list,
issuing of questionnaires and on-going assessment of supplier performance.
•
Responsible for assisting Contract / Site Managers
with printing of work / site packs and drawings and document control.
•
Assist in the gathering/maintenance of
documentation for the company ISO accreditation using the company’s internal
management system. Review all company policies and procedures on an annual
basis.
• Gathering of Health & Safety information and
producing internal health and safety bulletins.
•
Effective handling of all in-coming calls and
postal mail.
•
Assist in logging/allocation of maintenance call
outs
•
Head Office appointed First Aider
•
Head office appointed Fire Warden/Marshall,
responsible for weekly fire and emergency lighting tests and six-monthly
evacuation drills.
Hours per week: Monday – Friday 8am – 5 pm

Training
STANDARD & LEVEL
The successful candidate will work towards completing the Level 3 Business Administration Standard from the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education. Delivered by Blackpool and The Fylde College offering expert tuition and exceptional facilities.

Off-the-job training
Developing your skills at work is called on-the-job training, 20% of your apprenticeship (equal to one full day a week) will be ‘off-the-job’. This might include attending College, tackling projects, online learning, coaching, shadowing, or training for your job.
Stacks of support
Assessment mostly takes place in the workplace. When you start, you will be allocated a skills coach, who will visit you at least once a month to guide and support you and help you to plan for your future. We will also provide you with specialist support for your English and maths and for any additional needs that you make us aware of.
Qualifications required
Level 3 a minimum of English and maths grades A*- C (9-4) (or equivalent) are
desirable OR willingness to complete Functional Skills Level 2 are a requirement
to have or to achieve before EPA Gateway.
Skills required
Microsoft Office Literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication skills at all levels (verbal & via email)
Good organisational skills
