We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated,and personable senior pharmacy assistant to join our pharmacy team.


We are based at Prospect Park Hospital in Tilehurst, Reading and you will work with a team of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants and our Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists.


Pharmacy opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.


You shouldhave experience of working in a pharmacy environment and completedyourBTEC Level 2 Certificate in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Support Staffor be willing to undertake and complete this award whilst in post.


You willassistinprocuringthe supply of medicines for our patients / service users and complete essential tasks in stock management and distribution services for ensuring the supply of medicines reaches all the wards and departments for ourservicesacross Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust


You will haveexcellent communicationskills, be personable, approachable and enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Completing ward stock top-ups forBHFTwards and departments throughout Berkshire

• Procuring medicines, medical gasesandnonmedicinal supplies from suppliers and wholesalers and associated booking in and storage of medicines


• Completing pharmacy financial processes

• Ordering and supplying FP10HPs to prescribers withinBHFT.

• Problem solving

• Distribution of medicines throughout Berkshire
