We are looking for a highly motivated Band 4 Nurse Associate to join our team on our 24 bedded Medical and Respiratory children’s ward, 7E. Our hospital manages a large case load of children, many having complex conditions and needs. Our specialty services include, but are not limited to, complex respiratory conditions (including non-invasive ventilation and tracheostomy care, cystic fibrosis, empyema), diabetes, haematology, endocrine, neurology and general paediatrics.
The post holder will ensure family centered care is maintained, fostering positive relationships with children and their families. You will also work closely with full MDT’s including consultants, physiotherapists, dieticians, general managers, pharmacists and specialist nurses including community teams. The aim of the post is to develop a Band 4 Nurse Associate to be able to manage our long term ventilation bay.

The aim of this post is to develop Band 4 nursing associates on a general and respiratory children’s ward. The post holder will provide evidence based and family centered care to a diverse patient group under the supervision of senior colleagues. This is an excellent opportunity to expand a wide range of clinical and non-clinical nursing skills including managing a bay of patients using long term ventilation, tracheostomy care, and developing leadership skills.
