Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Research Fellow in the Paediatric Department based at Whipps Cross Hospital. This is a 12-month fixed term contract starting from September, as part of the medical team the post holder will also be providing a clinical service in paediatric A&E department, paediatric assessment unit, Children’s outpatient department, labour ward and postnatal wards as appropriate.

This is a full-time position 40 hours per week (50% Clinical and 50% research).
The Paediatric department is based at Whipps Cross Hospital and is part of the Children’s Clinical Board and Network within Barts Health, you will be joining a medical department that currently has 14 Consultant Acute Physicians and 32 Junior Doctors
Whipps Cross Hospital provides a comprehensive acute paediatric and neonatal service in Northeast London. Waltham Forest has a child population (0-16) of approximately 60,000 but children from surrounding boroughs are also seen at Whipps Cross Hospital. The hospital serves Waltham Forest, Redbridge and parts of Epping Forest.
The Paediatric unit works with the Children’s Home Care Nursing Team, based at Wood Street Child Development Centre. The team supports children of all ages at home who have medical needs e.g. gastrostomy, diabetes, oxygen dependency, daily IV antibiotics, home ventilation and end of life care.

Whipps Cross University Hospital, part of the Barts Health NHS Trust Group is looking for a full time Paediatric Clinical Research Fellow on a 12-month fixed term contract, to work as part of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, nurses and support staff, assisting and delivering a programme of research relating to commercial, NIHR portfolio and non NIHR studies. You will support this award-winning team to effectively and creatively engage our internal and external audiences.
