Sage 200 Support Developer
We are seeking a a highly motivated Sage 200 Support Developer to join our team. If you have a strong technical background in
supporting and customising Sage 200 software, a passion for problem-solving, and expertise in SQL and system integrations, we’d
love to hear from you. In this role, you'll troubleshoot complex issues, develop tailored solutions, and optimise system
performance—helping clients get the most out of their Sage 200 platform.
The role
As a Sage 200 Support Developer, you’ll be involved in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and
project planning to development, deployment, and ongoing support. Working as part of a team, you’ll design and implement
customised Sage 200 solutions, ensuring that client needs are met efficiently and effectively.
Your role will include creating detailed specification documents and providing technical guidance to clients and internal teams.
You’ll be involved with development efforts, ensuring that code is delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality
standards.
Key responsibilities
System Support & Troubleshooting
* Investigate and help resolve errors, bugs, and performance issues reported by users.
* Manage support tickets and communicate solutions effectively to end-users and clients.
* Assist in deploying Sage 200 upgrades, ensuring smooth integration with custom developments.
Sage 200 Expertise & Development
* Experience of the Sage 200 SDK to develop and customise solutions.
* Write and modify programming code as advised by the team.
* Experience working with C#, VB, SQL, XML, WinForms, APIs, Web Services, and ASP.NET within development environments like Visual
Studio and SQL Server Management Studio.
* Engage with customers to gather and understand their requirements.
* Revise and update customer documentation based on testing outcomes.
Integration & Technology Advancements
* Work with APIs and middleware to enable seamless data exchange between Sage 200 and third-party applications.
* Stay up to date with Sage 200 advancements and emerging technologies, advising on potential business impacts.
* Support the development of the Pinnacle product portfolio, ensuring alignment with industry trends and client needs.
