Full time hours on a temporary basis

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Quality and Safeguarding Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and implementing key initiatives to ensure high standards of quality and safeguarding within the directorate. This role involves task management and expertise provision, but not line management.

Key Deliverables:

  1. Create and implement the Workforce Development Plan, identifying current strengths and opportunities for development within the directorate.
  2. Ensure CQC deliverables are met to support inspection readiness.
  3. Develop and implement the audit plan for the directorate.
  4. Develop and implement the ASC Improvement Plan.
  5. Review and implement Workforce and Management training programs.

Key Services:

  1. Provide leadership and expertise to the Safeguarding Hub and DoLs team, including coaching staff to achieve efficient and effective triaging and casework of safeguarding.
  2. Lead and deliver preparation for CQC inspection.
  3. Oversee and ensure high-quality, timely performance reporting, delivered in an engaging and understandable format.
  4. Implement the Workforce Development Plan.
  5. Support preparation for CQC inspection to demonstrate the quality of work being delivered across the directorate.
  6. Oversee Quality Assurance processes to ensure compliance, including audits, dip-checks, and reporting on findings. Design change plans to deliver improvements to compliance.
  7. Provide advisory and coaching services to ensure high-quality strengths-based practice across the service.
  8. Lead engagement with staff on the transformation programme and service changes, including news bulletins and briefings. Solicit feedback and drive cultural change through engagement, coaching, and modelling of best practices. Support the adoption of TEC.
  9. Deliver the staff awards programme.
  10. Support the reduction of sickness across the directorate.
  11. Deliver weekly progress updates and reports.
