We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our innovative nursery team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a love of the great outdoors! This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive and develop essential skills through playing outdoors. We need an inspiring role model to support the development and learning of our young children.
Responsibilities
Manage the daily activities in the nursery, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships and support children's development.
Plan and implement age-appropriate educational opportunities that promote learning through play.
Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and creating opportunities to meet individual needs.
Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings, encouraging creativity and exploration among children.
Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in childcare and early years education.
Collaborate with team members to maintain high standards of care and education within the nursery setting.
Requirements
Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Forest Schools are desirable.
Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is desirable.
Strong communication skills in English are essential.
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour is essential.
A genuine passion for early years education and a commitment to fostering children's development is essential.
A love of nature and working outdoors is essential.
Experience of working with children with SEND is beneficial.
