As we prepare to deliver on exciting, new business opportunities in Project Management, we are looking for dynamic, passionate and talented individuals to join our team. We are recruiting to several roles in Project Management, including: Professor, Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer.

Bristol Business School comprises six subject clusters and these posts will sit in the Strategy and Operations Management (SOM) cluster. In addition to Project Management, the SOM cluster includes the following disciplines: Strategic Management, International Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Management, and Innovation and Enterprise. SOM colleagues also contribute to the Innovation, Operations Management and Supply Chain, and Sustainable Economies Research Groups.

The successful candidate will join a vibrant and expanding team of academics, who are engaged in a broad range of research and scholarly activities promoting UWE Strategy 2030 and UWE’s research beacons, particularly digital futures, health and wellbeing, and sustainability.

About you: We are looking for passionate individuals who are committed to excellence in teaching and research to join Bristol Business School as a Senior Lecturer in Project Management. We welcome applications from creative thinkers who thrive in an innovative and inclusive environment and can fully contribute to the School’s teaching, research and external engagement activities.
You should have a strong academic background in project management, as well as practical experience of delivering project management solutions in a complex environment. Additionally, expertise in broader related subjects such as Agile Project Management, Project Risk Management, and Project Management Office would be an advantage.
The nature of the subject group’s teaching means that candidates should be confident, outgoing and comfortable working as part of a teaching team on large and sometimes interdisciplinary modules, as well as independently on smaller, specialist modules. Candidates should hold a degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline and be committed to teaching and research. Membership of a Professional Body such as PMI or APM is desirable.
To succeed in this role, you will require a sufficient depth and currency of specialist knowledge in Project Management, ideally with the ability to contribute to other related subject areas within the cluster, demonstrate a commitment to teaching with the ability to engage and inspire students within a variety of academic settings, and be able to design innovative teaching materials using a technology enhanced approach.
The focus of this post is to deliver outstanding learning outcomes for our students through exceptional teaching and learning on academic programmes within the School, as well as engaging in knowledge exchange, research and other activities that enhance and inform teaching delivery, design and curriculum development.

Where is this role based?
This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed.
